Site work for a mixed-use development in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The City of Whitehorse is inviting Bids from qualified contractors, referred to as Bidder with the experience to deliver construction services for civil works related to the Chilkoot Way Active Transportation Improvements project. The Project goal is to improve safety and overall user experience for walking, cycling, and transit along Chilkoot Way. The project will connect two of the Citys major pathways, Riverfront Trail and Two Mile Hill and include pedestrian crossing treatments and transit infrastructure along both sides of Chilkoot Way (as shown in the design drawings). The Project consists of the following components: Approx. 600m of construction of a two-way protected bicycle lane on the North side of Chilkoot Way Erection of horizontal barriers between the bike lane and drive lanes. Supply and installation of signage and pavement markings. Documents can be obtained from https://whitehorse.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/66656 where the Contract Price is less than $50,000.00, Contract Security in the amount of 10% of the Contract Price. Scope: The work described in this section pertains to clearing of trees, brush, and other unsuitable or objectionable materials from the designated area(s).
