Preliminary bid results will be posted on QuestCDN within an hour after the bid opening. Est. Completion Date: Aug. 27, 2023 Pre-Qualification: Yes Pre-Bid Meeting Info: A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the MN Highway Safety & Research Center, 1805 South US Highway 10, St. Cloud, MN 56301. The Engineer and University Representatives will review the bidding procedures, Bidding Documents and other conditions with interested Bidders and answer questions. Project Owner Number: St Cloud State University Project Category Code: Bituminous Patching/Coating/Surfacing, Asphalt Overlay, Rehab. and/or Maint. Description: Rehabilitate the existing bituminous pavements at the MN Highway Safety & Research Center as identified on the Plans. In the bituminous reclaim and repave areas, reclaim the identified bituminous pavements to the specified depths. Regrade and remove excess reclaim materials as necessary for proper tie-ins to existing pavements and to ensure positive drainage of all pavement areas. Following base aggregate grading and compaction, coordinate with the Owner's Testing Agency for necessary testing. Upon approval of base aggregate areas, place and compact new bituminous pavement sections per the plans and specifications. In the bituminous mill and overlay areas, mill the existing bituminous pavement to the specified depth. Thoroughly sweep the areas clean and apply uniform tack coat to all surfaces being overlaid, including adjacent vertical edges. Place and compact new bituminous pavement sections per the plans and specifications. Within the identified pavement areas, route, sterilize, and crack seal all pavement joints and cracks greater than 1/4 " wide with a hot-applied rubberized asphalt. Larson Engineering, Inc. 01 11 00-3 After all paving and rehabilitation work is complete, backfill and restore all adjacent landscaping and disturbed areas. New bituminous pavements shall be backfilled flush along the edges and adjacent areas re-graded as necessary to ensure positive drainage off the pavements. Restore all disturbed turf and landscape areas with new seed. The following quantities are provided for the Contractor's convenience only. All quantities shall be field verified by the Contractor prior to bidding to provide a lump sum bid. Reclaim, regrade, and repave new bituminous (per plan) 6,280 square yards Bituminous mill and overlay (per plan) 4,360 square yards Crack sealing 4,000 lineal feet
