Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Plymouth, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; for paving for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Install erosion control devices prior to beginning construction activities. Remove and dispose of existing parking signs where shown on the Drawings. Repair two existing catch basin structures and adjacent concrete curb and gutter as shown. Sawcut and remove existing concrete curb and gutter and concrete sidewalks where shown. Reclaim existing bituminous pavement and underlying soils to a depth of 10 inches. Grade and compact reclaimed bituminous/aggregate base material to accommodate new bituminous pavement section, allow for positive surface drainage, and maximize reuse of reclaimed material on-site. Schedule and perform proof-roll of prepared base in the presence of the Engineer. Where required by Engineer, perform subgrade corrections by excavating existing soils and replacing with reclaimed bituminous/aggregate base. Remove excess reclaimed material from the site. Construct new concrete curb and gutter systems, pedestrian curb ramps, and sidewalks as shown. Place new bituminous pavement over prepared base. Install new signposts and parking signs. Stipe parking lots, drives, and curbing as shown. Place topsoil, seed, and temporary erosion control blanket in disturbed lawn areas. Remove erosion control devices following final site stabilization.
