The Contractor awarded this Request for Proposal (RFP) shall provide electrical services to the City on an as-needed, when needed basis. The City will determine the electrical work to be performed and the Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials and may be required to perform consulting, engineering, submit and follow architectural plans. The Contractor(s) is to be knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of commercial and municipal electrical installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Throughout this contract the City may have projects that are scheduled and pre-arranged, but we will also have occasional emergency type requests requiring immediate attention. The City reserves the right for City Departments to request and contract for additional electrical services when it is in the best interest of the City. Contracts awarded as a result of this RFP are not a guarantee that any work will be requested. The Citys facilities inventory includes 28 buildings with approximately 500,000 square feet. The total square feet indicates the size of the buildings area and not necessarily the area to be maintained by this contract. The type of facility use includes office/professional, maintenance operations, recreational, educational and public safety. Also, the City has numerous parks, walkways and various other areas that may use this electrical contract. There is public access to most of the facilities; hours of operations will vary based upon facility type. The Contractor will be a qualified Electrical Contract with a C-10 license.
