The Rhode Island Army National Guard is seeking a vendor to provide the construction of a metal framed building, new paving around the proposed building, mil and paving of the northwestern parking lot, and stormwater management improvements to the project area of concern. The Site Improvements & Cold Storage Project base bid work entails relocating
Conex boxes and redirecting an existing drive/roadway and paving.
The demolition and removal of an existing hydrant, to include the installation of a new hydrant
that will be connected to the existing water lines.
Furnishing and installing stormwater utility infrastructure, to include milling and paving two (2)
existing parking lots.
In the first parking lot (POV lot), the removal and disposal of an existing fuel point which has been
locked-out-tagged-out, along with the demolition and removal of a light pole. New led pole
lighting will also be furnished, installed and powered via best route.
The second parking lot (org lot) will receive a concrete pad to accept military vehicles and will be
enclosed in a new 8' high galvanized fence with 2' of barbed wire atop the 8' sections (total 10'
high). The org lot will also include two sliding gates on two sides of the enclosure.
At the main gate entrance off of Airport Access Road, a gate operator/driver and corresponding
components, to include a keypad and airphone will be furnished and installed. A new led light pole
will be furnished and installed at this location too. Power for the operator etc. To include the light
pole will come from the existing readiness centers new addition mechanical/electrical room. At
the entrance to the main gate, a man gate fence will be furnished to installed.
Fence relocation, removal and new fencing is necessary for stormwater infrastructure work.
Landscaping is included. As is the removal and disposal off site of a clump of vegetation.
