proposals for architectural design services to address known deficiencies and desired upgrades to the city's Fleet Maintenance Building, located at 2480 Impala Drive, Carlsbad, CA, 92010. Scope of Construction Work In general, the bridging documents depict interior renovations to include the relocation of the parts room, rotary lift, locker room and lounge. The work scope will also include new offices/work areas with new walls, doors, windows, and ceilings in select areas, interior painting, and carpeting. Infrastructure improvements will include: o HVAC - new heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment and exhaust fans o Electrical - as necessary to support the new layout o Plumbing - new restroom due to relocation of existing o Roof - roof refurbishment including replacement of roof hatch and skylights, and installation of OSHA compliant railings at roof hatch and sky lights. Given that fleet maintenance operations are vital to city operations, the renovation work must be executed in two (2) phases so that part of the facility remains usable for limited operations. Contract executed and Project Start September 2023 Design complete (6 months) March 2024 All questions must be received prior to June 14, at 5 p.m. and submitted via online Q&A in PlanetBids.
