Project is no longer needed.** This Work shall consist of providing and placing one or more layers of plant-mixed hot mix asphalt (HMA) on a prepared foundation or base in accordance with these Specifications and the lines, grades, thicknesses, and typical cross-sections shown in the Plans. The manufacture of HMA may include warm mix asphalt (WMA) processes in accordance with these Specifications. WMA processes include organic additives, chemical additives, and foaming. HMA shall be composed of asphalt binder and mineral materials as may be required, mixed in the proportions specified to provide a homogeneous, stable, and workable mixture. The major items of work include: HMA Pre-Level, BST, and Guardrail. All original proposals must be delivered to the specified place at or before the specified time. No faxed, electronically transferred or otherwise transmitted modifications to the original sealed bid submitted at the affixed place and bid opening time will be accepted.
