Question Deadline 05/29/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Questions posted to this site before 5:00 P.M. (EST) on the seventh calendar day prior to the bid opening, or tenth calendar day prior to the December bid opening, will be responded to by the Department. The Town of Hooksett is seeking a proposal to repair the Safety Center sign at the intersection of Lehoux Drive and Hooksett Road (Route 3) in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Scope of Work The project consists of replacing the sign lettering, replacing the Fire Department and Police Department seals and repainting the sign. In addition, the arrow sign below the main sign shall be replaced with a programmable message board of similar dimensions with the message programmed remotely through the dispatch office. The message programming shall have adequate security protections to prevent misuse of the system. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and work (including electrical work with all and permitting and coordination) necessary to complete the project. The Contractor shall be responsible for all permitting required for the work. The Contractor shall be responsible for all sign measurements required to do the work. The successful Contractor will be required to provide an insurance certificate with the limits provided below. Included in this Request for Quotes photos of the existing sign. Specifications Specifications for this project are not meant to be all inclusive. All specifications not addressed in the bid must be noted on the vendor's proposal. Work shall be conducted in accordance with the Town of Hooksett Standard Specifications for Construction the Town of Hooksett's sign ordinance and NHDOT Standard Specifications for Roadway and Bridge Construction (current version) and all applicable building codes. The contractor shall supply all equipment and material detail sheets with his proposal. A typical Standard Contract is attached to this RFP. The Contractor shall complete a Town Excavation Permit from the Public Works Department prior to the start of construction. The application fee will be waived for the Contractor. The Town of Hooksett, Community Development Department will oversee the proposals and construction of the project.
