This Request for Proposals (RFP) consists of two (2) distinct projects. Though construction management for both will be included under one (1) Professional Services Agreement, it is a requirement that all documentation be kept separate. The project include in this RFP are: Guardrail Upgrades Project - Replacement of existing guardrails at 7 locations (12 segments) throughout the County. The guardrails identified for replacement are either damaged or not up to Caltrans standards (i.e., no transition railings or end treatments that are not Caltrans approved). The Guardrail Upgrades PS&E are included as Attachment A. The Project is funded through the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP). Prior Work:Project is construction ready. Contract is expected to be awarded on July 25, 2023. Roadway Safety Signage Audit Project - Install, relocate and remove roadway signs on approximately 220 miles of Calaveras County Roadways per MUTCD standards based on the results of the Roadway Safety Signing Audit (RSSA). The RSSA PS&E are included as Attachment B. The Project is funded through the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP). Proposers are advised that THIS IS NOT A SEALED BID OR LOW BID PROCESS. The County intends to make an award or awards using the evaluation criteria listed in this specification to determine the professional that will provide the best value for the County. Nevertheless, cost is still a criteria that will be used for evaluation.
