Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of June 12, 2023, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $420,570.24** The Project consists of one (1) Base Bid and two (2) Alternate Bids. The Base Bid consists of improvements to 13th Street (from Morris Street to Bergenline Avenue) and 37th Street (from Palisade Avenue to New York Avenue). More specifically, work shall include the removal of existing curb and sidewalk, construction and installation of new scored sidewalk, concrete curb, scored concrete driveways, shade trees, semi-circular 3’X3’ granite block tree wells, resetting of window well grates, cellar door replacement, traffic striping, speed humps, full depth pavement repair, and HMA milling and paving. Alternate Bid ‘A’ generally consists of roadway improvements along 38th Street (between New York Avenue to Palisade Avenue) including mill and pave, construction and installation of new scored sidewalk, scored concrete driveway, traffic striping, and other improvements shown within the construction plans. Alternate Bid ‘B’ consists of improvements along 38th Street (between Palisade Avenue to Hudson Avenue) including the removal of existing curb and sidewalk and selected trees, construction and installation of new scored sidewalk, concrete curb, scored concrete driveway, traffic striping and all other improvements shown within the construction plans. All work on this contract must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner, except as to those items which are deemed mandatory and non-waivable set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2. Further, the Owner reserves the right to abandon the project and reject the bids entirely if any legal or state or federal administrative action is taken against the Owner which could delay or jeopardize the project from commencing. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Contract Documents will be available during business hours beginning on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 City of Union City for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00.
