Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The Contractor will install green infrastructure and other site improvements under I-94 at W. Becher Street. The work includes, but is not limited to, site grading and finishing, installation of dry stream beds, bio-retention, an asphalt maintenance pathway, native vegetation, bioswales, and trees. Using PVC pipe, the contractor will connect 18 freeway downspouts to the green infrastructure. A Freeway Drainage Collection Feature is an alternative bid item. Major components of the work include:Lump Sum Excavation for dry stream beds and bio-retention area o 668 Cubic Yards Crushed Aggregate Base Course o 272 Cubic Yards Bituminous Concrete (HMA Pavement) o 859 Cubic Yards Stone Mulch Finish o 130 Each Tree - Deciduous, 1.5" Caliper Container with 2-year Warranty o 6,872 Cubic Yards Compost (Soil Amendment) Major components of the work include: 4,089 Cubic Yards Excavation for Pathway, Streambeds and Bioretention Basin 599 Cubic Yards Crushed Aggregate Base Course 158 Cubic Yards Bituminous Concrete (HMA Pavement) 694 Cubic Yards Stone Mulch Finish 130 Each Tree - Deciduous, 1.5" Caliper Container with 2-year Warranty 843 Cubic Yards Compost (Soil Amendment)
