The City of Melvindale 2023 DWSRF Project #7704-01 consists of 4 Projects. Projects selected to be constructed will be selected after bids are opened. All projects will be bid as one package under one contract, with plans for each project and one overall spec book. The award will be made to the lowest Contract Total (total cost of all four projects). The anticipated start date, weather permitting, is and substantially completed by with final completion. The proposed Dix Road Watermain Replacement project consists of approximately 4,700 linear feet of 12" directional drill, 700 linear feet of 8" pipe-lining, and 500 linear feet of 12" open cut to replace an existing 8" water main along the west side of Dix Road between Outer Drive and Oakwood Boulevard, within the City of Melvindale. It also includes approximately 2,600 linear of 8" directional drill and 600 linear feet of 8" open cut water main to complete a loop along the east side of Dix Road between Emily Street and Bloomfield Street, within the City of Melvindale. The proposed Greenfield Road Watermain Replacement project consists of approximately 2,370 linear feet of 8" pipe bursting and 150 linear feet of 8" open cut water main along Greenfield Road between Prospect Street and Palmer Street, within the City of Melvindale. The proposed Wall Street Watermain Looping project consists of approximately 550 linear feet of 8" directional drill and 110 linear feet of 8" open cut water main to complete a loop along Wall Street between Homestead and Greenfield Road, within the City of Melvindale. The proposed Dora Street Watermain Replacement project consists of approximately 780 linear feet of 8" directional drill and 160 linear feet of 8" open cut to replace an existing 8" water main along Dora Street between Rose Street and Leo Street, within the City of Melvindale. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any information or to reject any and/or all bids. Bidders must deposit, with their bid, surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal.
