Work of this Contract comprises the following: .1 Utility locating and field fitting of cut-outs at 7 locations; .2 Temporary fencing and securement of all 7 locations for the duration of the Work; .3 Exposing existing valve near Hydrant X11 for the purposes of identification and consideration for replacement; .4 Exposing and excavation of 7 existing steel pipeline segments; .5 Cut-out and preservation of 7 existing steel pipeline segments; .6 Third Party Testing of 7 existing pipeline segments; .7 Testing and installation of 7 new pipeline segments; .8 Coordination with Operational Staff; and, .9 Backfill, clean-up, and restoration of disturbed areas. Provisional work of this Contract comprises the following: .1 Procurement of replacement valve near Hydrant X11; .2 Removal, and replacement of existing valve near Hydrant X11. Removal and replacement of valve box. Removal and replacement of flanges on existing pipe at valve to facilitate installation of new valve; .3 Bird sweep to support tree clearing (if required).
