The City of Crystal River has obtained an FDEP 319 grant to connect approximately 77 lots within the Indian Waters Phase I subdivision to the central sewer system. This project is to perform the residential sewer connections. All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the regulations for septic tank abandonment and connection to the central sewer as provided by the Florida Department of Health (FDOH, Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Citrus County Minimum Standards and Construction Specifications for Water & Wastewater Systems, and the Florida Building Code, which are incorporated to the construction documents by reference. The work performed generally involves the following activities: The project consists of 3 major components; 1) abandonment and demolition of the estimated existing 77 residential septic tanks identified in the Indian Waters Phase 1 Unity of Title and Utility Easement Map, 2) Construction of the sewer laterals to the City of Crystal River's grinder station located on the resident' property or ROW, 3) Construction of the electrical connection from the residential power supply to the City of Crystal River's grinder station, 4) Restoration of the residential lot to a condition equal to or better than existing conditions. Question Deadline 06/01/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 335 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. Performance and payment Bond: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of $100,000. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, select more than one contractor, waive any irregularity, amend the per lot invoicing process, and take all submittals under advisement for sixty (60) days.
