Quotes are being requested for receiving salvage brick, block, and concrete resulting from demolition of the former ODOT Maintenance Facility in Cortland, Ohio. ODOT will provide delivery of the material to a processing facility for repurposing the material, as an alternative to landfill disposal. Estimated total amount of material is 100 to 150 cubic yards, with an estimated delivery time frame of June 1 to June 16, 2023. Material will be delivered as clean as possible, but small amounts of foam, wire, insulation, metal, or other building material may be contained in the loads delivered. ODOT will consider hauling costs, along with the cost to ODOT or the revenue ODOT will receive, when evaluating bids for award. Quotes submitted will be considered for award based on the highest revenue (or lowest cost) to the Ohio Department of Transportation. ODOT reserves the right to reject all bids if other ODOT means for disposal (e.g., landfill) are a lower cost to the department.
