Renovation of a parking garage in Salisbury, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 58,000-square-foot parking garage.
As of August 14, 2023, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The purpose of this project is for the repair of various structural and non-structural elements and replacement of waterproofing elements at the City of Salisbury Parking Garage located at 100-110 Circle Avenue. Repair recommendations are based on structural condition inspections performed by Whitney Bailey Cox & Magnani, LLC (WBCM) in December of 2020. B. Work will include mobilization and demobilization, fiber-wrapping of double-tee beam ends, spall/delamination repair of double-tee beam ends over bearing areas, epoxy injection of diagonal cracks in double-tee beam ends, primary element partial or full depth spall repair, staircase spall repair, decorative wall fascia stone repair, shallow spall repair, full-depth spall repair, bearing pad replacement, slab/wearing surface topping partial or full depth spall repair, median curb partial replacement, preparing up to 58,000 sq ft. of top-level garage membrane and prime and apply topcoat with broad cast aggregate for slip resistance, preparing up to 500 sq ft. of delaminated/deboned membrane down to concrete substrate and apply full vehicular bearing membrane system, consisting of primer, base coat, intermediate coat and topcoat, replacing failed tee-to-tee control joint and full depth membrane repair, wearing surface membrane patches, spot cleaning and painting steel beam retrofits, epoxy coating spandrel beam interior faces, expansion joint seal replacement, seal replacement at spandrel beam ends, silicone seal replacement between wearing surface toppings, and seal replacement at spandrel beam/panel interface with wearing surface toppings. 2. PROJECT SCHEDULE: A. Work shall be completed within 90 days of Notice to Proceed. 3. SCOPE OF WORK: A. STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS 1. Mobilization/Demobilization. 2. Fiber-wrapping of double-tee beam ends. 3. Spall/delamination repair of double-tee beam ends over bearing areas. 4. Primary element partial or full depth spall repair. 5. Epoxy injection of diagonal cracks in double-tee beam ends. 6. Spot clean and paint steel beam retrofits. 7. Bearing pad replacement. 8. Epoxy coat spandrel beam interior faces. 9. Shallow spall repair. B. WATERPROOFING ELEMENTS 1. Prepare up to 58,000 sq ft. of top-level garage membrane and prime and apply topcoat with broad cast aggregate for slip resistance. 2. Prepare up to 500 sq ft. of delaminated/deboned membrane down to concrete substrate apply the full vehicular bearing membrane system consisting of primer, base coat, intermediate coat and topcoat. 3.
