The City of Manchester is seeking prequalification statements from construction contractors for a sewer rehabilitation and pipeline construction project that is scheduled to begin construction in late summer 2023. The CMOM Program - Phase III, Sewer Rehabilitation and Repair Project - Contract 5 includes, but is not limited to, the following major elements of work: o Installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of manhole to manhole sewer replacements of 12- inch to 15-inch diameter sewer pipes. o Installation of approximately 10,000 linear feet of manhole to manhole CIPP liner within existing 8-inch to 24-inch diameter sewer pipes. o Excavated point repairs to approximately 925 linear feet of sewer pipe (31 locations) ranging in diameter from 8-inches to 24-inches. o Installation of approximately 1,500 feet of sectional CIPP lining (100 locations) within existing 8- inch to 24-inch diameter sewer pipes. o Rehabilitation of existing culverts with two new 42-inch HDPE drain pipes at Marjam Site (250 feet) and Massabesic Street (50 feet). Work includes demolition of existing culvert roof, inserting new drain pipes into remaining culvert, flow handling, flowable fill, catch basins, new grate over portion of open channel, new bar rack, and paving. o Rehabilitation of existing box culvert with grout treatment at Cypress Street & Lake Avenue. o Replacement of existing siphons that cross Cohas Brook with two new parallel 8" HDPE pipes that are 300 feet by horizontal directional drilling. The work also includes site clearing, staging, upstream/downstream structures, and site restoration. o Pavement restoration. Construction duration is estimated to be 412 calendar days for Substantial Completion (October 17, 2024) and 630 calendar days for Final Completion (May 23, 20225) assuming a Notice to Proceed of September 1, 2023. Construction contractors with experience with open cut construction and CIPP construction projects of a comparable size and scope are invited to submit prequalification statements for bidding on the City of Manchester's CMOM Program - Phase III, Sewer Rehabilitation and Repair Project - Contract 5. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in or reject any or all prequalifying Contractors and to accept prequalified Contractors that are deemed most favorable to the interest of the City of Manchester.
