As of Aug 8, 2023 the project is set to be awarded on Aug 15th council meeting . This project consists in the replacement of the exisitng pavement on a segment of Industrial Park Drive Phase I , approximately 1804 feet , the project limits was broken into three alternatives to be able to reduce the scope of work in case of budget limitations . The proposed pavement cross-section is 36 feet wide with a layout of 7-inch asphalt concrete over 8 aggregate base course. The estimated asphalt pavement replacement area is 50,278 SF (5,587 SY). This project includes 9,680 of PCC (10 thick) over 4 of aggregate base course .This project will also include the adjustement of two existing water valves and the striping of the road per striping plans Objective/Scope of Work The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, services, transportation and perform all the work for the City s project known as Industrial Park Drive - Phase I pavement replacement (Alternatives I, II &III) for City of Nogales, Arizona as called for in the plans/specifications. The proposer should prepare a detailed time schedule for completion. The successful proposer should be prepared to comply with all local, state and federal safety and environmental requirements A bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each Bid. Bonding companies issuing acceptable bonds in conjunction with this project must hold a certification of authority to transact surety business in Arizona as issued by the Director of the Department of Insurance. All bid security shall be made payable, without condition, to the City of Nogales. Said bid security shall be considered liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the City of Nogales in the event the Bid is accepted and the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) workings days after the notice of bid award The City of Nogales also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of opening.
