Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project is a result of an annual bridge inspection that identified delamination under the bridge structural support. This bridge repair qualified for IDOT’s Local Bridge Fund Program and is expected to receive an 80/20 split. The increase is due to the city electing to create a more pedestrian friendly environment by bringing sidewalk all the way up to former Fullers car wash. As well as adding the top end reconstruction of the bridge. The Meadowbrook bridge being eligible for IDOT local bridge funds is an excellent opportunity to repair the bridge and create a more pedestrian friendly corridor while receiving the benefit of the 80/20 split. Project is in City of Rolling Meadows capital budget FY2024-2028. As of June 20, 2024, project is funded for FY2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
