Summary Project Description: The Anti-Ligature & Unit Hardening project at the Desert Willow Treatment Center includes removal and replacement of existing ceilings, walls, and fixtures with the objective of eliminating ligature points throughout the facility, as well as providing impact-resistant ceilings and walls to reduce the amount of damage caused by the facilitys patients. The project work is divided between five prototypical care units, patient restrooms within each unit, additional patient restrooms adjacent to corridors and classrooms, a kitchenette within one of the care units, and the main entry vestibule. B. Contract Scope: Demolition and Construction. C. Contract Terms: Lump sum (fixed price, stipulated sum). Base Bid Description: 21-M02-20 - HVAC Replacement. This project will replace six air handling units and ninety-one fan coils at the Desert Willow Treatment Center. Four air handling units are on the roof and two air handling units are on a mezzanine serving the gymnasium. The ninety-one fan coils are located above the ceiling grid throughout the facility. 22-A012 & 23-A005 - This project will design and construct impact resistant wall protection and hardened ceiling assemblies at the dormitory hallways and dayrooms in the Desert Willow Treatment Center at the Southern Nevada Child and Adolescent Services campus. This project will also rehabilitate the patient bathrooms of the Desert Willow Treatment Center to create solid surface seamless showers, install new wall and floor finishes, and replace plumbing fixtures.
