Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bid submitted in advance should be sent to 305 Williams Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792 to the attention of Adam Steurer, PE, Utilities Engineer. If less than three sealed bids are received at the time of bid opening, no bids will be opened. The Hendersonville WWTF Aeration Basin No. 2 Repairs and Rehabilitation Project consists of new concrete buttresses assemblies and associated timber piles constructed on the exterior of the north wall of Aeration Basin No. 2 to provide structural support against further deflection/bowing. Prior to beginning the installation of the timber piles and construction of the concrete buttresses assemblies, the contractor will be required to clean Aeration Basin No. 2 following its removal from service by the City to allow for thorough inspection of the interior face of the north wall and adjacent areas of the base slab of Aeration Basin No. 2. The project also includes the repair of exterior cracks on the existing Aeration Basins. The repairs are expected to include the use of low viscosity, hydrophilic expanding polyurethane injection chemical grout adhesive system, and polymer modified cementitious mortar. The project also includes the installation of a watertight epoxy or urethane surface protection coating system to the interior of Aeration Basin No. 2.
