The roadway on Highway No. 33 (Control Section 33-04 km 7.2, approximately 7.2 km northwest of Kronau, SK) is failing due to spring runoff. One culvert has partially collapsed and the other four culverts may have various degrees of seam separation beginning. All five existing culverts will need to be removed by open excavation of the roadway and replaced by four 2000 mm polymer coated CSP culverts. Inlet and outlet riprap aprons will also be installed for the new pipes. In addition, the road embankment and surface will need to be repaired. A one-way detour with traffic signals will be required during construction. Type II Riprap (150mm - 300mm stones) : 165 m3 4 x 25-28 m long-2000 mm Diameter Polymer coated CSP Culverts, 2 mm wall thickness, with 125 x 25 Corrugations Total required length = 100-112m. Completion Date (subject to change): Aug 15, 2023
