As of June 23, 2023, project was awarded to Christ Brothers Asphalt, awarded amount is $228,543.22. The St. Clair Township, St. Clair, County, Illinois, will receive sealed bids for the construction of the PAULETTE AND MARION RESURFACING. The work to be done under this project consists of approximately 727 tons of hot-mix asphalt resurfacing on Paulette Drive and 135 tons on Marion Court, and approximately 1467 square yards of surface removal. These improvements will be located on Paulette Court from Elizabeth Drive to Crestwood Court and Marion Court from Elizabeth Drive to Paulette Drive in St. Clair Township near Belleville IL. COMPLETION OF IGD FORMS: Each bidder shall complete the respective forms provided by the St. Clair County Intergovernmental Grants Department (IGD) and submit with their bid proposal. Bidder is subject to non-acceptance of bid proposal should forms not be completed and submitted with the proposal. MBE PARTICIPATION: Include Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation of fifteen percent (15%) of the awarded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the project. Participation of a MBE is required by the US Department of Housing Participation Contractor's Agreement and submit a completed MBE Contractor Certification form reflecting the participating MBE as a subcontractor (unless a supplier) as a part of the bid proposal. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION - SECTION 3: The requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 USC 1701u) are included in the IGD documentation requirements and shall be completed and submitted as a part of the bid proposal. All work shall be performed in accordance with the IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, edition in effect at the time of the bid. Each Bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bidder's total bid price, such security being an acceptable bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the full amount of the bid. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The St. Clair Township, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities in the bidding.
