Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Right of Way Clearance and Demolition services, Asbestos/Lead Paint Abatement services, and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) or Water Pollution Control Program (WPCP) services and implementation of said Plan(s) as described herein. Scope of Work 1. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Right of Way Clearance and Demolition services, Asbestos/Lead Paint Abatement services, and development and implementation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) or Water Pollution Control Programs as described herein: A. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, permits, materials and incidentals necessary to remove and demolish real property structures, abate all hazardous materials to include but not be limited to friable and non-friable asbestos and lead paint, according to all environmental laws and regulations, and provide any necessary SWPPP/ WPCPs. The work shall be done in accordance with all city and county codes/regulations. The structures are to be demolished and removed out of the Caltrans right of way. B. The work to be done in general consists of demolishing and removing structures, foundations, footings, removal, backfill and grading of basements, and other improvements such as add-on detached shed, Additional Dwelling Unit, or self-built storages by owner located within Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. All demolition work will include, but is not limited to, setup, maintain or repair fences, board up windows and doors, setup/ replace no trespassing state property signs in conspicuous places, repair/replace the main water pipe; notify utility and cable companies to terminate accounts, remove, abandon service lines, have proactive approaches for fire hazard prevention, homeless encampment, vandalism, squatters, graffiti on the properties, remove siding concrete blocks, plants, shrubs, trees, fences, walls, curbing, decks, sheds, spas (not associated with swimming pools) covered and uncovered patios, septic tanks and cesspools, capping of sewer lines, slabs, concrete porches, loading docks, steps, footings, foundations, pipe, brick, flatwork, plaster, lumber, wood splinters, trash, debris, glass, abate all friable and non-friable asbestos and lead paint, according to all environmental laws and regulations. Contractor shall provide any necessary SWPPP/WPCPs as set forth herein and under the review and approval of Caltrans Contract Manager This Agreement will commence on June 30, 2023 (estimate) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager or designee.
