The estimated budget is $20,416 - $24,953. This project is subject to the "Buy America" provisions of the surface transportation assistance act of 1982 as amended by the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. The prime Contractor for the work herein shall possess the following valid State of California licenses: "A" - General Engineering or C-12 Earthwork and Paving at the time this Contract is awarded. Pursuant to Section 1771.1(a) of the Labor Code of the State of California, A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. If the successful low bidder has a physical place of business in unincorporated Mendocino County, they will be required to obtain a County Business License prior to Notice to Proceed. The County of Mendocino hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration of the award. Pursuant to the provisions in Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Mendocino has obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations the general prevailing rate of wages, and the schedule of employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes in, the County. Interested parties may review these wage rates and schedules at the Department of Transportation, 340 Lake Mendocino Drive, Ukiah, California. The successful Contractor shall obtain a copy of prevailing wage rates from the Engineer and shall post same at a prominent place at the job site. For this contract the general prevailing rate of wages as ascertained by County shall be those in effect on the bid date. Future effective wage rates, which have been predetermined and are on file with the Department of Industrial Relations, are referenced in the published wage rates of the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. The County of Mendocino reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any defects or irregularity in bidding. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
