Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

As per the Owner the project has been postponed. This project will be rebid on a later date that has not yet been determined The Township is accepting sealed proposals for the replacement of basketball courts that consist of one full sized court ("Court One") running parallel to Little Falls Road of fifty (50) feet in width and eighty-four (84) feet in length as well as an adjacent undersized court ("Court Two") running perpendicular to Little Falls Road of forty-two (42) feet in width and fifty-three (53) feet in length. Replacement shall include completely removing the existing surface and resurfacing both Courts, with proper lining of the surface for basketball play as well as the installation of four (4) new backboards and rims in proper locations. Two (2) of the four backboards must be able to be adjusted and variably locked between six (6) and ten (10) feet in height. Replacement must address any puddling or drainage issues presently experienced on the Little Falls Road courts. Bids must be made on Standard Proposal Forms in the manner designated herein and required by the Specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of bidder and name of project on the outside addressed to Township Clerk, Township of Cedar Grove, Essex County, New Jersey, and must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit and a certified check or bid bond for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, provided said check need not be more than $20,000.00, nor shall not be less than $ 500.00, and a consent of surety from a surety company authorized to transact business in the State of New Jersey in a sum equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the amount bid, and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. In accordance with NJSA 40A: 11 -23.2, all contracts entered into with the Township of Cedar Grove on or after September 1, 2004, the contractor must be registered with the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue and provide a business certificate with the bid. The contractor shall provide written notice to its subcontractors and supplier of the responsibility to submit proof of business registration to the contractor. The requirement of proof of business registration extends down through all levels (tiers) of the project. Before final payment on the contract is made by the contracting agency, the contractor shall submit an accurate list and proof of business registration of each subcontractor or supplier used in the fulfillment of the contract, or shall attest that no subcontractors were used. The Contractor will comply with all rules and regulations and orders promulgated by the State Treasurer pursuant to NJSA 10:5-31 et. seq. and NJAC 17:27, and with all provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law, NJSA 40A: 11 -1 et. seq. and all rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, the provisions of which are incorporated herein by reference.
