Renovation of a detention facility in Marquette, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
LEIN CHECK (Dept. of Corrections ONLY) All contractor/vendor representatives attending a Pre-Bid Walk Through Meeting must submit a Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request five business days prior to the meeting date, (See the attached Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request form). Send the LEIN Request form, filled out and signed, by email to Daniel T. Smith at email address :SmithD76@michigan.gov. The email "Subject" must include (Facility Name, Project Name, Date & Time of Pre-Bid Walk Through Meeting). NOTE: An individual is only permitted to represent one bidder at a mandatory walk-through. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: o This is an upgrade of the components of the video security system. o Work shall include but not be limited to: o Install cabling, security cameras, network switches and servers/storage to support the new and existing cameras plus the growth factor. See specs and drawings. o Install new fiber cabling as detailed on the drawings and specifications o Replace existing camera monitoring PC's and provide new PC's as noted on the drawings and specifications. o Install new PC's and laptops where noted. o For new cameras, include Genetec camera licenses and all software upgrades thru July 1, 2024. o New cameras are cameras above and beyond the existing quantity of cameras. Existing cameras and cameras to be replaced already have licensing thru July 1, 2024. o For new monitoring PC's provide Genetec licenses o Fully load the latest Genetec software on the servers and PC's and upgrade all new and existing camera software to the latest firmware that is compatible with the Genetec software. o Provide full documentation and as-builts of network connectivity and camera locations and camera numbers on red-lined PDF documents. See specifications for full closeout documentation required. o Add surge protection devices on exterior mounted cameras o SEE SPECIFICATIONS TO DETERMINE WHAT SCOPE OF WORK IS PART OF THE GENETEC INTEGRATOR ALLOWANCE (GIA) o Refer to spec sections: 283601, 283601 and 283700 where they include portions of the work that are to be provided and/or completed by the GIA contractor. o The GIA contractor shall be Siemens Corp. o Contact is David Bonofiglio david.bonofiglio@siemens.com (616) 304-2879 o Electrical updates shall include but not be limited to: o Installation of new UPS circuits in the Admin building with distribution to user PCs and monitors in the Admin building. o Replacement of all existing camera UPS. o Addition of surges suppression and grounding of all external cameras, new and existing. o Underground boring and trenching to new poles and camera locations. Also include Hydrovac as per the specifications. o Ground Penetrating Radar shall be implemented at all underground work areas. Emailed submissions require DCD approval and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Approved emailed submissions MUST be received prior to the 2:00 p.m. deadline to be considered responsive and responsible Questions Due by July 19, 2023 at 2:00 pm local time.
