The Corporation of the City of St. Catharines is inviting tenders for Sunset Beach renewal. This contract is for the supply and delivery of all labour, equipment and materials necessary for the construction of the Sunset Beach Park Renewal. Construction activities include but are not limited to: - Tree preservation, management, and removals; - Construction of ESC measures and site control measures according to the contract drawings; - Demolition and removal of the existing boat launch, and construction of a new concrete slap launch with sheet piling; - Reconstruction of the main access road, north and south parking lots, including heavy duty asphalt paving and permeable pavement; - Stormwater management and low impact development through underground catchment areas, pipe network, and soil cell storage system; - Construction of a concrete waterfront pathway and plaza space; - Reconstruction of existing trails with light duty asphalt paving; - Demolition and removal of the existing playground, and construction of new playground equipment and rubber play surfacing; - Shade structure and site furnishings; - Pavement markings and signage; - Restoration of disturbed areas with topsoil and hydroseed according to the contract drawings; - Tree planting; - Shoreline protection and naturalization planting.
