The work consists generally of an expansion of the City's existing wastewater treatment facility and will include improvements to their headworks, aeration system, final clarifiers, disinfection system, RAS/WAS pumping station, equalization basin, electrical and control system, yard piping, and all other necessary and related work to complete the project as shown on the plans and described in the specifications. The work consists generally of the expansion of an existing wastewater treatment facility from 6.3 MGD to 12 MGD. This expansion must be undertaken while the existing facility remains in operation, with limited process interruption as may be required, in full coordination with the Owner,to ensure no untreated wastewater is discharged. The work generally consists of the construction of a new influent channel with grit separation, new aeration basin distribution box, modifications to existing aeration basin including the sequential cleaning and retrofit of new aeration system and supporting structures, installation of new interconnecting aeration basin effluent piping,three new 110' diameter clarifiers,scum piping station with discharge piping, effluent piping from new clarifiers, new UV disinfection system, and new discharge piping connecting to existing effluent pumping station. Also included is the construction of a new RAS/WAS pumping station and discharge piping, new electrical and controls systems, new emergency generator, new junction structures, regrading of existing equalization basin, new equalization basin effluent pumping station, and general site grading. Included in this work will be bypass pumping as required, dewatering as required, and all other necessary and related work to complete the project as shown on the plans and described in the specifications. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the West Memphis Utility Commission, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid. submittal of a minimum of three (3)copies of the Bid response is required, one (1) original and two (2) copies. The West Memphis Utility Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, with or without cause; and to accept the lowest bid per location which in its judgement will be for the best interest of the West Memphis Utility Commission. Completion- 840 consecutive calendar days.
