The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish a term contract to provide wet fire suppression system (sprinkler system) inspections, testing and hydro testing services, repairs, alternations, and new installations on a scheduled and "as needed" basis for Hanover County and Hanover County Public Schools Inspections, Testing & Maintenance of Wet and Dry Sprinkler Systems, Fire Pumps, and Fire Hydrants. Repair work shall not be a part of the Inspection and Testing. At the conclusion of each site inspection/test, a written report shall be submitted to the County indicating the condition of the system and any problems which may exist, or which may require repair. During the testing procedure, the Contractor shall immediately notify the County of any deficiencies found which may result in system failure. All problems or deficiencies are to be recorded in the inspection report. After corrective action has been taken by the County to repair the defect, a re-inspection/test may be required.
