As of May 10, 2024, this project is under construction. General Contractor award information has not been determined. Construction is expected to be complete in 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Company is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested Suppliers for the construction of a building at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This EOI seeks to identify sources interested and capable in building construction and to elicit potential participants and their intent to bid on the construction of the facility. The construction solicitation is expected to occur in the fall of CY 2023, with a contract award planned for January 2024. The award will be a single, competitive fixed price construction contract with progress payments. All interested firms should provide contact information (Name, Email and Telephone Number) for further correspondence as part of their response. See Attachment A - EOI SIPRC Facility Construction for additional details. The facility scope includes constructing a new building that comprises production space for isotope production equipment, as well as the support rooms required for continual equipment operation. The new building will also have the space necessary for operations personnel, including a break room, changing room/bathrooms, offices, and conference room. The production portions of the facility will be built to vaulttype room (VTR) standards. The SIPRC facility building will be approximately 64,000 GSF. Construction will occur on a site south of White Oak Avenue across from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Building 6000.
