Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Lonsdale Energy Corporation intends on adding a sewer heat recovery system that will recover thermal energy from a raw sewage stream, upgrade it to a higher temperature and deliver the high temperature energy to their existing district heating network. The total thermal capacity required to be delivered to the district heating system from the WETS is 5 MWt. It is the Owners preference to utilize the wastewater stream directly in the WETS Heat Pump to maximize available wastewater temperatures delivered to the Heat Pump. However, the vendor is not prohibited from proposing alternate configurations. To progress the design development of this project, LEC is requesting informational proposals from interested Vendors for WETS process equipment that will allow them to further refine and develop the project concept. The WETS equipment will be installed in a new purpose-built plant located in the City of North Vancouver, BC. Design and construction of the plant will be completed by Others. The civil infrastructure required, such as a wet well and/or diversion piping, will be designed and installed by others with input from the selected Vendor. The project is expected to be completed and commissioned in late 2026 with operation beginning in early 2027
