Site work and paving for a road / highway in Newton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work under this contract includes, but is not limited to, construction services to provide cleaning, general preparation, resetting/adjusting of utility castings, pavement milling, repairs to concrete with mastic, asphalt rubber stress absorbing membrane interlayer (ARSAMI), installation of a bonded wearing course (BWC), and all other specified and incidental work on bituminous concrete and concrete roadways. The Contractor is further advised that this work will involve extensive traffic control measures and coordination with the City. All other work described in this Invitation For Bid unless specifically indicated is not to be done. The work to be completed under this contract is located at multiple roadway locations and work shall be completed based upon a schedule as determined by the Engineer on a day-to-day basis. The start date is the date on which the Notice to Proceed is issued, which is anticipated to be on or before July 1, 2023. Time for completion is prior to December 31, 2023 Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Contract Documents shall make a written request to the Chief Procurement Officer, at purchasing@newtonma.gov or via facsimile (617) 796-1227. The City will answer such requests if received by Friday, May 26, 2023, at 12:00 noon.
