The work generally consists of grading, drainage, base, paving, and concrete work to include the approximate quantities of major work items: 22,000 CY of Unclassified Excavation; 5,500 CY of Borrow Excavation (Structural Fill); 1,015 LF of 15"- 24" Range of Various RC Storm Drain Pipe; 723 LF of 15" & 24" Corrugated HDPE Storm Drain Pipe; 2 EA Open Throat Inlets; 3 EA Junction Boxes; 2 EA Pond Outlet Structures; 7 EA Slope Paved Headwalls; 4,755 Tons of Bituminous Concrete Asphalt Wearing and Binder Paving Layers; 2,815 SY of Concrete Pavement, Pads, and Walkways; 75 Parking Bumpers; Striping; Clearing, Grubbing& Demolition; Seeding &Mulching; Various Site Erosion &Sediment Controls; and related miscellaneous items Plans and specifications may be examined at the of office the Crenshaw County Economic & Industrial Development Authority, 3 South Forest Avenue, Luverne, Alabama; and at the office of Southern Engineering Solutions, Inc., 201 East Troy Street, Andalusia, Alabama,36420 To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete proposals made available by the Owner. Complete digital project bidding documents are available upon payment of anon-refundable fee of $40.00 If paper option is chosen, checks shall be made payable to Southern Engineering Solutions, Inc. No paper bid documents will be distributed later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. Each bidder must submit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. All bidders must comply with the requirements of the Contractors Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work for which a proposal is submitted. The submission of the Bidders current State of Alabama license number will be required before his/her bid will be received or considered. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
