Renovation of a water / sewer project in Huntsville, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Scope of Work: Replace aeration basin gearbox with an equal or superior gearbox. Include manufacturer name, part number, cut sheets and performance data with your bind. Supply all material and equipment needed to complete the replacement of the gearbox. Supply all necessary parts, components, and labor for a successful start-up. A manual detailing the use and care of the gearbox shall be provided to the City at the time of startup. Dispose of the removed gearbox. A bid bond made payable to the City of Huntsville, Texas in an amount of 10% of the bid submitted must accompany each bid as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract and execute such bonds as required within ten (10) days of award of contract of City Council. Each response must be sealed in an opaque envelope which has been clearly marked Solicitation Packet 23-53. All late packets will be returned to responder unopened when properly marked. Public reading is scheduled to be held at the date and time listed above at City Hall, 1220 11th Street, Huntsville, Texas. You are invited to attend. This contract shall be effective from date of award and will expire ninety (90) calendar days after delivery of long lead time items unless otherwise extended at time of award. The total project must be completed in no more than ninety (90) calendar days from the date of award - per written Notice to Proceed or issuance of purchase order. The awarded firm will be accessed two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per calendar day for all non-completion of work beyond pre-approved number of calendar days from date of notice to proceed (non-completion of work includes removal of all equipment and materials from job site). This amount will be taken/reduced from the final invoice. All requested weather days must be submitted in writing to the City of Huntsville Public Works Director on the day of bad weather. A maximum of five (5) calendar days for requested weather delays will be allowed by the Public Works Director, any requested weather days beyond five calendar days may require City Manager approval. Detailed warranty information shall be included in the bid package. All questions concerning the solicitation should be directed to the Procurement Manager, Lucy Gonzalez at e-mail lgonzalez@huntsvilletx.gov. All questions or request for interpretation must be received by March 7, 2024 @ 5:00 P.M The City reserves the right to reject any bids that do not meet specifications stated herein or reject all bids should this project not be approved for any reason. The City of Huntsville is accepting bids to replace a gearbox, motor and variable frequency drive (VFD) in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252. The City of Huntsville is aware of the time and effort you expend in preparing and submitting bids and proposals to the City. Please let us know of any solicitation requirements which are causing you difficulty in responding. We want to make the process as easy and painless as possible so that all responsible vendors can compete for the City's business. Question No. 1: Can a second site visit on March 13th at 11:00 AM be allowed for base plate measurements.......... Answer: Yes.
