The VAN BUREN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT is soliciting competitive bids for the removal, replacement, and striping of asphalt of multiple areas totaling approximately 368,308 square feet (including the alternate locations) located at or near the following addresses: 30 S. Walnut Street, Bangor, MI 49013; 701 S. Paw Paw Street, Lawrence, MI 49064; 250 South Street, Lawrence, MI 49064; 705 S. Paw Paw Street, Lawrence, MI 49064; 633 Blackman Street, Lawrence, MI 49064; and 490 S. Paw Paw Street, Lawrence, MI 49064 (alternate location). Work must be completed on or before August 20, 2023. If awarded bidder is unable to complete the project by August 20, 2023, they must provide proof of reason for the delay. This project does not require a prevailing wage Bid quotes are guaranteed for 90 calendar days. The Van Buren Intermediate School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities which it deems to be in the best interest of Van Buren Intermediate School District, and the right to award the contract to other than lowest bidder. All bids must include a Bid Security for five percent (5%) of the bid amount, including alternates, payable to the Van Buren Intermediate School District (VBISD), in either the form of a certified bank check or bid bond. If awarded the Contract, the awarded bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
