The work shall consist of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to perform the following: The work to be done shall consist of providing all materials and performing all labor necessary to construct a new road with 2,390 square yards of 6" GAB, 250 tons of asphalt, signs, traffic control, grassing, storm piping, flared end sections, and striping. Question Deadline 05/25/2023 Questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Time allotted for completion of work is ninety (90) calendar days. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond and registered as a corporate surety in the most recent edition of Circular 570 of the United States Department of the Treasury
