Project has been cancelled. Site work for installation of fire protection cistern to include excavation and material removal, sediment control, and related work to include removal of trees in preparation of and after the cistern installation. To receive consideration, such questions shall be submitted in writing to the Procurement Administrator Ashley Pinard at procurement@stow-ma.gov Scope of Work: 511 Great Road, Stow Fire Department - Cut down and remove any trees and vegetation in the area of Cistern installation - Excavation of appropriate size hole for Cistern installation - Removal and disposal of material - If necessary, dewatering hole - Fill in excavated area after Cistern installation - Loam and seed, clean up site. The installation of the fire cistern is being bid out separately and includes the procurement, delivery and installation of the cistern itself. The purchase and installation of the Fire Cistern is being made with Federal Funds so this contract must follow all federal guidelines to include Davis Bacon Wage rates. If there is a discrepancy between MA Prevailing Wage rates and Davis Bacon Wage rates the higher rate must be paid. A federal contract addendum will be added to the contract of the awarded vendor. This work must be completed between April 1 and June 14, 2024. Contractors should not submit a bid if they are not able to comply with this schedule. The Fire Cistern will be installed adjadcent to the Stow Fire Department which will have emergency vehicles entering at exiting throughout the work day. Limited parking will be available daily for workers but no vehicles or equipment is to be stored on site overnight or during non work time. In addition work will generally not be able to begin until 8:00 am each day
