Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Norfolk, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for the construction of a 53,000-square-foot educational facility.
The work consists of complete demolition and removal of the existing Maclay Building and replacement with approximately 53,000 sq. ft. new building at the same site. New building includes general classrooms, offices, restrooms, mechanical penthouse, mechanical courtyard, and support spaces. Construction includes site work and prep as required for existing building removal and replacement. New construction is slab-on-grade with conventional metal stud walls, cast stone and brick masonry veneer, metal roof joists and steel framing with rubber membrane roof system. Finishes include aluminum curtain wall, aluminum storefront, hollow metal door and frames, wood doors, interior metal wall studs, drywall and cement wall board, carpet tile, porcelain tile, ceilings, wood veneer panel system, terrazzo, architectural casework, plumbing fixtures, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, LED light fixtures, A/V equipment and associated life safety equipment and devices. August 1, 2023: Site Construction start anticipated. June 1, 2025: Final Completion. Project Address: 801 East Benjamin Avenue, Norfolk, NE 68701. Question Deadline 06/07/2023 No technical questions will be answered by the Architect's /Engineer's office(s) during the twenty-four (24) hours immediately preceding the bid opening time and date. Addendum #1-#2 have been issued as of 6-6-2023.
