Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lafitte, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and 5,780-square-foot retail development.
The project consists of exterior repairs and interior cleaning of an approximately 5,780 square feet strip shopping center that was damaged by Hurricane Ida. Contractors shall hold a Louisiana Contractors License in Building Construction for the referenced project. All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the Jean Lafitte Multi-Purpose Center (Current Temporary Town Hall), 4917 City Park Drive, Lafitte, Louisiana 70067. Late bids will not be accepted. Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, including all alternates, and payable without condition to the owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the contract documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219 as applicable. The Town of Jean Lafitte reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, un-balanced, or conditional bids, pursuant to the law.
