The general description below is given to indicate the approximate scope of this project only. It does not limit the work required under the project drawings and specifications. Demolish the existing three Stories South Wing of Building 15 and replace it with a new two-story structure to accommodate 12 Unaccompanied Enlisted Permanent Party Housing and Administrative spaces. The Contractor shall note that phasing of the work of this project to minimize impacts to the East Wing building occupants is critical, and no construction work will be permitted until the Contractor's Final Phasing Plan has been approved. The Contractor is to develop a plan that provides continuous access to the East Wing and to the DFAC through the rear entrance. The plan shall identify/illustrate how the demolition activities of the South wing will keep the building occupants safe. The East Wing will also remain climatically controlled throughout the construction phase.
