The proposed future transit exchange is to be coordinated with mixed-use development supporting the area as an Urban Centre and transit hub. The adjacent development site at 3174 Mt. Lehman Road and 30530 Cardinal Avenue is a planned mixed-use residential development comprising of future townhome and condominium units. A private access road through the development connecting Cardinal Avenue and Highstreet Access Road is proposed as part of the off-site and on-site The project area is located on Highstreet Access Road in Abbotsford, BC. Highstreet Access Road runs east-west within the Highstreet Shopping Centre area between Mt.Lehman Road and Cardinal Avenue. Currently, Highstreet Access Road maintains existing BC Transit routes including 1 Highstreet/UFV, Highstreet/McMillan, #21 Aldergrove/Abbotsford, and #66 Fraser Valley Express. This corridor segment was identified as a future transit exchange location within the City's transit planning initiatives. TIMELINE: Project is awaiting council approval. NPP - Notice of Proposed Procurement was issued under Solicitation #1220-2025-3746. Tender and construction timelines are undetermined. Further update in late 2025, upon approvals.
