Reference Number 0000247961 Background This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the University of Waterloo (UW) on behalf of UW’s Plant Operations Department to prospective Contractors to submit pricing proposals, indicating their organizations capability and resources for the provision of regularly scheduled elevator preventive maintenance services including but not limited to all repairs and supply of related parts, as further outlined in Appendix C – Bid Form. The objective of this RFP is to award and execute an Agreement that will ensure the UW’s elevating devices, as listed in Appendix C – Bid Form, are kept operating in a safe, efficient, trouble free and optimal manner. The requirements of this RFP are also designed to prolong the equipment’s operating life by keeping it in a substantially “like new” condition. It is UW’s intent to partner with a successful Contractor for a period of three (3) years with options to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year terms at UW’s sole discretion.
