The City of Watertown, Massachusetts is requesting written quotations for the replacement and upgrades to the Underground Storage Tank (UST), Tank Pad, and Manhole Replacement located at the Public Works Facility, 124 Orchard Street, Watertown, MA 02472. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, trash disposal of old equipment, and all other things necessary to do all the work required for the completion of the project. SCOPE OF SERVICES: A Massachusetts licensed Contractor shall be hired to replace the UST tank pad and manholes located at the Department of Public Works in Watertown, MA. This work is necessary to upgrade the facility and its tank to a Stage 1 Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) System. This work will consist of performing concrete and manhole repairs, the manholes are sinking and this could lead to tank damage and other Underground Storage Tank issues if left unresolved. Work to include saw cut, jack hammer, and remove existing Diesel and Gasoline tank pad and manhole covers, remove materials from site. Temporary fencing and barricades will need to be set up around the perimeter of the tank pad during work. Install new manhole covers over existing tank top components including, tank sump, below grade spill buckets and vapor buckets, install new 4" steel riser pipes and vapor/vent extractor risers to match existing grade. Install EMCO Weaton double wall spill buckets, nipple riser seals, swivel fill and vapor, overfill drop tubes, fill, and vapor caps. Replace both 18" manway covers with ring over both annular spaces. Furnish and install 1/2 " rebar and pour new 8" brimmed finish concrete pad around manholes, using 4,000 psi concrete, with troweled edges and cut expansion joints. Asphalt around the edges of the pad shall be repaired as needed. Clean up site and remove fencing and barricades. Materials to include: o One (1) 44" Composite Manhole Covers o Two (2) 18" Steel Manhole Covers o Two (2) 24" Steel Manhole Covers o Two (2) 19" Composite Manhole Covers o 1/2 " Rebar o Approximately 20 Yards of 4,000 PSI 3/4 " Concrete o Approximately 250 Sq.
