The Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials and perform all of the work required to build, construct and/or complete in a thorough and workmanlike manner. In computing the price of Extra Work on a Force Account Basis, the Contractor shall be paid for all foremen and labor actually engaged on the specific Work at the current local
rate of wage for each and every hour that said foremen and labor are engaged in such Work, plus ten percent (10%) of the total for superintendence, use of tools, overhead, direct &
indirect costs/expenses, pro-rata applicable payroll taxes, pro-rata applicable workman compensation benefits, pro-rata insurance premiums and pro-rata reasonable profit. The
Contractor shall furnish satisfactory evidence of the rate or rates of such insurance and tax. The Contractor will not be able to collect any contribution to any retirement plans or
programs. The Owner reserves the right to cash or deposit the cashier's check or certified check. Such guarantees shall be made payable to the Parish of St. Tammany. In accordance with LSA-R.S. 38:2218(C), if a bid bond is used, it shall be written by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to ten percent of policyholders' surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide or by an insurance company in good standing licensed to write bid bondswhich is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents. It is not required to be on any AIA form. A Bid Guarantee of five percent (5%) of the amount of the total Bid, including Alternates, must accompany the Proposal and, at the option of the Bidder, may be a cashier's check,
certified check or a satisfactory Bid Bond.
