The City of Lake Wales is seeking a qualified contractor to make the Tourist Club restrooms ADA compliant. The Tourist Club building is located at 205 N. Fifth St. Lake Wales, FL 33853.All persons and firms wishing to submit bids must obtain a complete copy of the Invitation to Bid and submit all required forms as outlined in the bid document with their response.Faxed or e-mailed responses will not be accepted. Renovate restrooms to meet ADA requirements
1) Demolition of existing interior walls and accessories in both men's and women's
2) Demo door openings in mason wall for new doors
3) Install new framing and drywall
4) Install 2 new doors and hardware including deadbolt locks (both locks to be keyed to the
same key)(4 keys to be supplied to city) - One door labeled MEN and the other WOMEN
5) Install new toilets, urinals and sinks with all necessary fixtures
6) Install new metal partitions in each room with ADA compliant handrails
7) Install all other necessary bathroom accessories
8) Paint new restrooms and doors
9) Work to include all necessary electrical plumbing work
10) Work to include any necessary concrete work
11) Electric ceiling heaters to be removed and replaced
12) Work to include removing and replacing lighting fixtures
13) Lighting work to include new emergency lighting
14) Install new mirrors over the sinks
Flooring tile to be Daltile Modern Hearth Chimney Corner Ceramic Tile 3"x12" Matte Finish or
equivalent and grout to be Ardex Coffee Bean from the Canyon Palette or equivalent
Work not included in bids:
1) No window work
2) No blinds / curtains
3) No paper towel or toilet paper dispensers - city will install these. Last day for questions regarding this bid is Friday, June 2, 2023 by 4:00 P.M., Prevailing Time.
