Site work for a water / sewer project in Newtown, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Purchasing Authority of the Town of Newtown reserves the right to accept or reject any or all options, or proposals; to waive any technicality in any proposal or part thereof, and to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Newtown. Emailed written requests for information will not be accepted after Friday, June 2nd, 2023, 5PM. The purpose of the project is the rehabilitation of Fairfield Hills Well No. 8 and minor improvements at Well No. 7. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Perform well cleaning. 2. Preform air lifting operations. 3. Install new liner casing. 4. Install seal between riser and casing liner. 5. Istall new well pump column assembily. 6. Install new sanitary seal. 7. Install discharge head and motor. 8. Perform final pump test. 9. Disinfection and water quality sampling. 10. Install new unit heater. 11. Scrape, clean, prepare, and paint all interior floors, walls, and ceilings. 12. Install new electrical equipment and associated wires and conduits. 13. Work at Well No. 7 as shown in the contract documents. 14. Project closeout submittals.
