The proposed work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for constructing an addition to the Granite City Township maintenance garage. This work includes all architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural and civil related improvements required to complete the project. Bids that are furnished by mail shall be addressed to the Granite City Township, 2060 Delmar Avenue, Granite City, Illinois 62040. Digital copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost upon Engineer's receipt of a completed request/release form provided by Engineer. Plans, specifications, and contract documents are also available for examination at Southern Illinois Builders in O'Fallon, Illinois. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the scheduled time of closing bids. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the Granite City Township Prospective Bidders may contact the Granite City Township Office (618-877-0513) to schedule an onsite review of the project. The successful bidder will be required to execute and present a performance and payment bond in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. Bids must be for the contract as a whole. The successful bidder will be required to execute and provide the Project Labor Agreement included in the specifications. All applicable laws, ordinances, and rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract. Illinois law requires that contractors pay the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor. The Granite City Township reserves the right to waive, or not to waive, any irregularities in the bids; to reject any or all bids; and to determine which is the lowest and best bid.
