Site work for a mixed-use development in Union, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a medical facility; and water / sewer project.
Project generally consists of approximately 5,125 LF of 24" gravity sewer line, 37 manholes, and associated work tasks for a complete and proper installation. Bidders must deposit security with all bids. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner and shall be for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Information for Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder. Funding for the project shall be provided via grants from the United States Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA), the SC Rural Infrastructure Authority (SC RIA), and local match funding provided by the City of Union. This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law (South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999, Chapter 11, Sections 40-11-10 through 40-11-428). Contractors shall have a classification of WL. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, or to reject any or all bids. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids.
