The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to perform planned (by the segment) Tree Services. Services shall include tree pruning, select tree and brush removal, and risk tree removal. All work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications herein, within the Richmond District along the I85 median shoulder between mile markers 63-18 located within the counties of Dinwiddie, Brunswick and Mecklenburg. The purpose of this procurement is to enhance safety for the public by addressing vegetative hazards located in the ROW, including but not limited to, vertical/horizontal clearances, clear zones, sight distances, impacting assets, etc. VDOT reserves the right to delete line items (segments) prior to award if the total award value exceeds budgeted project funding.
